The failure rates listed in NPRD-2016 are mostly for mechanical equipment and are based upon field data accumulated for the indicated environment, as reported to Quanterion Solutions.  The table to which the 27027-000 reference refers contains generic failure rates and life expectancies for “ideal internal and external stress conditions”.  The existence of an environmental conversion table cannot be substantiated from this reference.  Since NPRD-2016 contains data based upon many thousands of references, it would be inappropriate to apply environmental conversion factors to adjust the NPRD data.
